Our Founder

Susan Nessmith Hatfield founded Therapy Steps in 2000 and started Mommy and Me Classes in the fall of 2023.  She is a mother of 3.  Grace a sassy little girl born in 2013, William a kind-hearted little boy in 2015,  and our funny yet mischievous little Jax born in 2021. 

Her pediatric therapy company, Therapy Steps Inc,  provides physical, occupational and speech therapy in the Atlanta area.  Her pediatric team is outstanding and has the same love for young babies.

Susan has 20+ years of experience with children from 0-3 year of age. She has worked in the NICU and countless premature infants.  After her last baby in 2021, she noticed baby classes in Atlanta included fitness class with baby, swim classes, music class or Gymboree classes.  The instructors are wonderful but not board certified experts in baby development.   Susan as well as other team members saw a need for Mommy (Daddy) and baby classes that would provide parents encouragement, support, education while promoting their child's development.  Susan is certified in Tummy TIme Method, Baby Massage, and neurodevelopmental treatment allowing her the skills to design a program for Mothers (and Fathers) and Babies!  She can't wait to meet you
